-
- Networking in general is complicated. TCP isn't all that hard to
- install once you know about domain names, gateways, etr.
-
- (and why is it not a part of the os?)
-
- Hopefully, it will be included with the OS, so that you can install
- it if you are going to need it. Even if it were an intrical part
- of the OS, you would still have to give it the info it needs, and this
- is the part that causes people the problem.
-
- What is needed is a package the service providers can send you with
- everthing included, they can enter all the info for you, and all
- you would have to do is click on install.
-
- There's problems with that too. You wouldn't have any control over
- where things go, or how they are set up.
-
- More importantly, it can hurt the shareware writter's who's products
- aren't included. I'm not talking about their feelings, I mean that
- most people will just continue to use whatever was included, rather
- than try to find something that matches their likes.
